System freezes or becomes unresponsive during gameplay.
Hey! I understand, the English isn't my first language. My PC has been acting weird lately while gaming. Sometimes music plays but then stops abruptly for a few seconds, and I can't press alt+tab or the Windows button. The screen freezes briefly, about 15 seconds, and I can't get back to normal. It seems like the game is still running but stuck on a picture. In some games, especially Smite, it can take me to the menu or logging screen.
I'm using a Ryzen 5 2600 with an RX 580 graphics card, 8GB RAM, an Aorus 16GB SSD paired with a HyperX Predator 3200X MP. It's running MSI B450M MORTAR, Samsung 256GB NVMe, and 2TB HDD. During troubleshooting, I noticed the SSD is full, but none of my games are stored there—they're all on the hard drive. I'm pretty sure that's why the system isn't responding properly.
I've tried turning off Windows search and indexing services, ran the SFC/SCAN tool, and checked CrystalDiskInfo, but nothing found any problems. I'm running out of ideas and really need help. Thanks! :3
What memory are you utilizing? I've experienced similar problems when running my games with low RAM (around 15.2/16GB), especially when loading assets from an SSD, causing usage to reach maximum and the system to freeze for a few seconds. You might also want to verify disk health using Crystal Disk Info (disable marking).
It occurs even with about 8GB RAM, and I've never noticed over 13GB in any game. Both drives are fine, but I'm not sure what a 96% rating means for an SSD.

Performance may drop significantly as storage nears full use. Consider checking DDU and updating your GPU drivers to see if it improves.
They fixed the drivers and reinstalled the system, but that didn't work. I also removed Ryzen Master and reset the CMOS, even though I didn't overclock my CPU. The problem persisted. Interestingly, I used MSI Kombustor for 15 minutes without any freezes—disk usage would spike to 100% briefly before dropping back under 5%, but games would immediately hit full capacity.
I checked those entries in the viewer; they seem linked to disk problems. I’ll attempt further actions from here.
