Hey there! I've been dealing with this problem since installing my new GPU, the RX 5700. After a while of gaming—roughly 30 to 60 minutes—I start noticing issues: the screen flickers with white spots, stutters, and sometimes crashes completely, forcing a reboot. After that, I recover but can't keep playing for long. I've talked to ASUS, AMD, Windows, and even reinstalled the OS multiple times. I've also used DDU, updated drivers, and checked my specs, but nothing seems to fix it. Dr. Google didn't help either. I'm reaching out to this community for advice. Here are the details: CPU: R5 3600, OC'd to 4.00 GHz; Cooler: Noctua NH-U12S black; Thermal: Liquid metal (not the problem); GPU: Asus RX 5700 DUAL; Repaired PSU: Corsair RM 750 Black Label; RAM: Corsair vengeance RGB 2x 8GB at 3200 MHz; BIOS and drivers are current. Thanks in advance!
Turn off the OC. Also, why did you choose LM on a 3600 with U12s? That seems unnecessary given the risks involved. Once the OC is off, check again to see if the issue persists. If it does, you'll need to inspect it step by step. How's your storage looking? Is it nearly full?
I disabled the OC and will inform you if it fails. I chose LM because I didn’t have any paste for reworking, and I wanted to compare it with pads or paste. My CPU runs hot at idle—around 40-50°C—and I’m curious if this helps. At the time I wrote, it’s 44.9°C with the AMD overlay, though accuracy may be off. I added extra storage as a backup. Do you have additional mice and keyboards available for testing? I've noticed Gsods often appears with damaged devices like that, but it's been about six years since I've seen a similar issue. It seems to be linked to a faulty keyboard USB.
