I recently swapped my i3 4150 for an i5 4460 with a friend, but when I run Gears 5 my computer freezes. I used to play it smoothly on the i3, yet now it crashes on the new model.

When the system freezes entirely, the issue likely lies with the processor.

Download HWMonitor to monitor CPU temperature during Gears 5. It might indicate overheating. Provide details about the rest of your build and power supply.

I keep checking with the hw-monitor but it didn’t work on i3 4150. The i5 4460 shows 60 to 70 degrees while the H81M S2PV runs at 450W.

Verify system settings – activate XMP if missing. Consider resetting CMOS or applying BIOS optimization defaults.

I've reinitialized my BIOS once more, but the issue persists.
