I own a Dell T3500 with a w3530 and an RX 560. I added two more gigabytes of RAM, but when it boots, the system reports a memory failure in the DIMM. I’ve installed the new stick, and both the BIOS and Windows show 4GB RAM available out of 6GB total. I’m confused—does this mean the new RAM is faulty or something wrong with the setup? Please advise.

The system indicates a likely software problem. Please share the BIOS screenshot and the name of the software you're using where only 4GB appears available.

Hello! Here are the details you asked about:
What version of Windows do you have installed?
Remember, a 32-bit OS can only handle up to 4GB of RAM.

No, I haven't purchased ECC RAM yet. Your current RAM isn't ECC.
