Computer freezes right after a video game becomes too intense. Is it GPU or PSU problems? Stress tests on CPU show no issues. FurMark non-burn-in runs fine, but FurMark burn-in causes crashes. TimeSpy also fails at launch. Playing Hogwarts Legacy works with character creation, but real game crashes immediately. All components are new – Reference 6950XT, ENERMAX revolution D.F., 850W.

Do you know more about the PSU? The Revo line isn’t ideal for top-tier setups.

The PSU is what I bought since it ranked as an A tier on the PSU list.

You're asking about the nature of the crashes—what exactly is happening? Are there error messages from Windows? Will the computer restart or shut down? Have you updated your GPU drivers recently? And how long have these issues persisted? Did you apply any updates, even to Windows itself, before the problems began?

Everything went wrong. Total failure. Halt. Turn off the fans and the computer. Just installed this PC yesterday. Latest drivers and new hardware. Headed to microcenter and picked a PSU without thinking. Swapped it in. Functioned perfectly. No issues. All working fine. I’m not sure if I should criticize ENERMAX or just be unlucky, but hope the newegg return process goes well.

It seems like things might have been a bit rocky, but hopefully New Egg isn't as disappointing as the return process could be. I’m hoping they won’t try to blame you for not handling the product properly. It’s nice to finally have a functioning computer and everything else resolved. Enjoy your gaming and whatever other games you choose!
