I acquired an i5 6500T but it seems to be functioning without any visible issues. It appears operational in the BIOS, recognizes all installed RAM, and voltage adjustments don’t impact performance. Downclocking also doesn’t cause problems. Other CPUs work normally, and the Windows installation on an SSD isn’t serving as a bootable Linux environment on USB. I’m confused and frustrated because I planned to use this processor in a gaming PC built for an Xbox One case. The setup includes an ASUS Z270-P motherboard, 16GB DDR4 memory, Crucial M500 SSD, Intel Core i5 6500T (unclear if it works), a cooler, and an EVGA PSU.

It's active but the system won't power on. It jumps straight into BIOS. Refer to the attached video (quality isn't important). Video.mov

Avoid creating a bootable Windows USB because it might not work properly on all systems.

The SSD contains a brand new Windows installation. I can create a bootable Windows USB and walk you through the process, though I’m confident it will produce identical results.

Use the media creation tool to obtain a Windows 10 ISO file, then apply it with Rufus onto a USB drive.

I completed that and it starts up but keeps looping indefinitely.

Did you turn off Legacy or UEFI during the USB boot process?

It supports both Legacy and UEFI settings. I just noted my experience: I was able to start from the SSD without immediately entering BIOS, but it still leads to a stuck blue flag or endless loading screen. The same happens with the USB.
