Hello everyone, welcome from Brazil. I’m facing a tricky issue I need your help with. Here’s what I’ve noticed: (1) My system uses an Asus Strix H470i with Core i3 10100f, 16GB RAM, Hyper X Pretador, GTX 1650 low profile, NVMe A2000 1TB, and a Flex PSU Delta DPS500. (2) When I power on the Delta PSU, it makes a clicking sound, but the CPU fan stops spinning and only the red LED lights up. This happens even with another setup (Asus TUF, i7 9700, GTX 1650, 8-pin PSU). (3) Another Flex PSU works fine without any noise, but I bought a generic one and it still powers on after removing the battery—only starts when the battery is out. (4) With any PSU, my computer runs perfectly, even using a DC-DC Pico PSU + power brick. (5) I’ve tested the PSU voltage and motherboard connections; everything seems normal. (6) Oddly enough, during troubleshooting, I switched to a specific Brazilian brand PSU and after replacing it with a Delta model, the PC turned on, worked for a week, then stopped. It played a strange ticking sound like Tec Tec Tec. I’m stuck and don’t have any more ideas. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Initial thought points to an issue with overcurrent protection. Possibly a faulty BIOS could also be the cause.
I'll attempt to reduce the BIOS settings and check the outcome. Appreciate your suggestion.
It seems the BIOS downgrade and upgrade didn't succeed, but the issue remains unchanged. I plan to attempt a lower BIOS version and observe the outcome. Appreciate your feedback.
Site shows 10100F works with BIOS version 0405. Below is a list of additional supported devices from the site. Unlikely, but possible the board rejects your NVME, RAM or similar. @tcinfo NOTED: Another chance is mixed connectors—4-pin and 8-pin—one might be missing. I also tested running just the CPU and RAM outside the case, but the same problem occurred. If a fix isn't possible, I might need to replace the motherboard and upgrade the CPU for my setup.
Absolutely, it functions well with other hardware too—similar to how another PSU works on my setup. It seems to depend on the motherboard and a specific Flex PSU brand/model. I own two different Flex PSU models, each showing distinct behavior: one spins up the CPU cooler silently, while the other produces a ticking sound with fan cycling. I’m grateful for your assistance and efforts. I’ve verified cables and connections; everything appears fine. The PSU operated reliably for about two weeks before failing. I also tested it by placing only the CPU and RAM outside the case, but the issue persisted. If I can’t resolve this, I might need to upgrade my motherboard or get a newer CPU to fit my case.
