PC specifications include an i5-6400 processor, 8GB Kingston DDR4 RAM at 2666Mhz, Radeon RX 570 GPU, and 4GB of memory. The system runs on a Gigabyte H110M-DS2 motherboard with an ASRock H110-DVS Rev 2.0 motherboard. Power issues arose where the PC shut down unexpectedly during gameplay. After restarting, the CPU fan didn’t spin and the power LED stayed on, suggesting it had power but wasn’t functioning properly. When I tried to boot again, the fan wobbled slightly at first but stopped after a few presses. The issue seemed linked to the CPU connector—when plugged in, the fan didn’t spin, but unplugging it allowed normal operation. After replacing the motherboard, the PC remained unresponsive, showing no POST or display. I’ve tried several troubleshooting steps like clearing CMOS, resetting static, and adjusting connections, but nothing resolved the problem.
I'm straightforward about it—seems like a CPU problem. The only sure way would be to run it on a reliable machine. 6th generation units are still easy to locate. If not, it might be a RAM or PSU issue. RAM can be checked in a stable system (DDR4 is even more typical than 6th gen chips). The PSU, being the least likely suspect, works well across most setups. Good luck!
You're getting some new RAM installed, which might help pinpoint the issue later. Thanks for the advice!
When the RAM isn’t installed, the system may either restart after the beep sequence ends or keep beeping continuously depending on the setup.
