Hello, I constructed a PC in January with these details: Intel i5-12400F, Corsair Vengeance 2x16GB DDR4 3200MHz, MSI VENTUS 3X OC RTX 3070, ASUS B760M AYW WIFI DDR4, MSI MAG A650BN. Until recently, everything worked smoothly without any problems. Now, pressing the power button causes the indicator lights to flash rapidly, roughly twice per second, and the RGB activates while the fans spin. This continues indefinitely, preventing the PC from booting. The only solution was repeatedly turning it on and off for about 15 to 20 minutes, after which it functioned normally. Now, even after two hours of attempts, the PC still won’t start, with the same flashing behavior and fan activity. I’m puzzled by this issue, especially since I removed the GPU and RAM, reset the CMOS, but it still doesn’t work.
Check for any illuminated indicators on the motherboard when the PC starts but doesn't boot. Look for debug lights that might signal hardware issues.
Gently press the power button, keeping it on for roughly a second before releasing.
It might be the GPU or boot device that controls the display. You could check for another drive or attempt to reinstall Windows. Edit: you likely meant GPU, Edited August 15, 2025 by leclod
