Hello, I'm working on a new PC setup and have faced a problem where nothing appears when I try to jump the motherboard with a screwdriver. The back panel lights up when the PSU is active, but these don't seem to correspond to RAM, CPU, VGA, or boot indicators that are visible in front. All connectors—24-pin to the motherboard and 8-pin to the CPU—are correctly seated. I'm currently using integrated graphics, but switching to a GPU didn't fix the issue. The odd part is that yesterday with the GPU it worked perfectly; BIOS booted, RAM, CPU, and M2 SSD were visible. However, exiting BIOS caused the PC to restart into BIOS again without any clear error. After a successful boot, I placed the motherboard in the case with the GPU installed, all standoffs tight, and it wouldn't power on at all except the back panel lights when the PSU was on. I tested the PSU with a paperclip—it worked briefly, though the fan only spun for a second. CMOS was cleared, but the problem remains. I also tried using a single slot RAM, which still didn't resolve the issue. CPU, RAM, M2 SSD, and GPU functioned properly the previous day, so these components appear to be intact. I suspect the motherboard might have a fault, possibly a short circuit. It seems possible that something went wrong after installing the GPU. Any advice on next steps would be appreciated?

Specs: Asrock B650M Pro RS, 7800x3d, 7800XT, peerless assassin 120 SE RGB, G Skill Trident Z5 RGB 2x16GB 6000 MHz CL30, RM750e, SN850x SSD

It didn't work as expected. When I press the power button, nothing changes except the motherboard lights stay on due to the PSU being active.
