System failure begins with a cyberpunk crash, followed by additional malfunctions and blue screen errors.
I recently upgraded to a compact form factor system and encountered several stability concerns. Cyberpunk continues to fail at launching, often displaying errors or freezing, sometimes resulting in a blue screen and shutdown. Spider Man Miles Morales frequently crashes during startup when ray tracing is active, even without real-time rendering, leading to PC power loss. Blade & Sorcery causes a blue screen upon opening the Arena map, also forcing shutdowns. OpenTTD and Beat Saber performed without issues. My old RX 9070 with the 2060 chip has been replaced by a newer model, and both Cyberpunk and Miles Morales ran smoothly for some time. I’m prepared to share diagnostic files if needed. Operating system: Windows 10 Home 64-bit, version 22H2. Hardware: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D (undervolted), RX 9070 XT ROG STRIX B650E-I, Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR5-6400, Samsung 990 PRO 4TB SSD, BIOS v3057. Performance notes: Sometimes the PC simply powers off and restarts after a game session. Games affected include Cities Skylines. I’ve added this information to relevant titles and updated it on July 30, 2025.
The error messages Windows displayed during a blue screen were: page_fault_in_nonpaged_area and dpc_watchdog_violation.
I also observed that my motherboard activated its small warning LED during startup. The sequence showed yellow for DRAM, then red for CPU, white for VGA, followed by a yellow-green light indicating the boot device. After that, it proceeded to post, leaving me uncertain about the issue.
Halt any further speed adjustments, including RAM settings. Reset the CMOS for a fresh start during diagnostics—it’s likely the memory issue, so skip XMP or expo tweaks right now. This is standard procedure to ensure accurate testing. Once more, pause overclocking.
Ram. Refer to what was mentioned earlier. No overclocking allowed.
