How long did you have to let it dry? And a 99% IPA usually dries in about an hour or two, while anything less takes a bit longer.

The label on the IPA bottle doesn’t show any percentage. I’ll have to place an order for a different one, but it might not be worth it if it doesn’t suit me, since I’m already stretching my budget by upgrading some PC components and my monitor.

Consider waiting another day for it to dry. Alternatively, perform a complete rinse: remove the board, take off heatsinks, extract the CMOS battery, and thoroughly disassemble everything. Apply power and press the CMOS switch for about two minutes per component, then rinse with water until fully saturated. You can either submerge the board in water or run it in a dishwasher for an hour without detergent. Shake off excess water when handling. The drying time varies by climate—around a day in Indonesia, where it’s near the equator. This method has successfully revived many boards for me; I’ve already restored over ten by following these steps.

I plan to purchase or construct one in the future if I can restore additional boards using one.

Seems a bit uncertain, I’m really new to this, and I’m worried I might make a big mistake. Could I consider returning the defective board?

If RMA is accessible, proceed with that method. It's also quite challenging to cause issues unless the equipment isn't fully dried and released.

Hey, just wanted to let you know I updated my processor and motherboard. The company said the motherboard is okay but they replaced the processor. Now I’m getting a new processor, but the A1 and A2 slots aren’t working—only B1 and B2 are fine. I’m not sure what’s going wrong with my computer.

This version is tailored for a 5800x3d display but previously led to issues such as reduced CPU performance.
