Hi, I'm working on activating SMART ACCESS MEMORY for your Gigabyte B550 M. Boards. To make SAM function properly, you need to turn off CSM. Disabling it causes the PC to boot into BIOS but fails to recognize any bootable drive. When CSM is enabled, Windows starts up successfully. Any alternative solutions? CPU: Ryzen 5 5600G GPU: Sapphire RX 6600 M. Board: Gigabyte B550

It appears you're using the legacy version of Windows. Open PowerShell, type `$env:firmware_type`, and review the output. If it shows "legacy," proceed with the instructions. Otherwise, inform me if you need further help.

This process essentially transforms your drive from an MBR format to a GPT format. It sets up an EFI partition on your boot drive and includes the necessary files for UEFI startup. Your existing data remains safe, but backing it up is recommended just in case.
