I’ve just switched my CPU from an Athlon X4 to a Ryzen 5 5500, but it won’t boot. I’ve cleaned the RAM, tested various sticks, reinserted the CPU, and replaced the CMOS battery. Are there any additional steps you should consider before giving up?

No, I haven't changed the BIOS to support the Ryzen 5000 processor.
