Yesterday I was using my PC and suddenly the power went out. Being tired, I just went to sleep. When I turned it on today, only half of the screen appeared, with black borders around the middle. I restarted the computer to check if that would help, but now it won’t start at all. The green "boot" light is on and shows the Asus Q-Code 02, which means "AP initialization before microcode loading." I’m really stuck and have tried everything possible, thank you in advance for your help.

I removed the battery and left it out for 15 minutes. Then I started the PC without power. I switched to HDMI instead of DP and tested all the available connections on the GPU.

What are your complete hardware details? Do you possess an additional power source for testing within the setup? Often these kinds of electrical concerns point to the PSU or the motherboard.

You own an RX 7900 XTX with a 5800x3D graphics card, 64 GB of DDR4 memory, an Asus B550 E gaming motherboard, and a Corsair 750W power supply.

Have you experimented with repositioning RAM and similar components? Occasionally systems hover just outside stability before a power cut disrupts everything. My thought is the power supply unit or mainboard might be faulty, which explains why the CPU isn't even starting its microcode—something fails during the POST (Power-On Self-Test). In today's terms, a failure to boot means something didn't pass the test. Booting actually happens before the UEFI starts, and previously it was handled by BIOS; now firmware manages hardware tasks and the interface. Try testing with a different PSU or motherboard if you can.

You've tried everything but nothing changed. The PC restarts didn't help, and the boot lamp stopped working. It's showing the g-Code 9E now.

Did the computer connect to a surge protector? You remember how power spikes can occur when it restarts. About a month ago, this happened to you too. Since your router and printer weren’t connected, they were damaged.

It wasn't the whole system going down; just my flat's power came back on immediately after it stopped working.
