Hey, I just upgraded my setup and keep running into issues with XMP. It keeps looping or reports failure. I've tried everything—even doing it manually—and even increased the voltage. The only working speed I can get is 2133mhz, which isn't ideal. I haven't reinstalled Windows, and this is the same old hard drive from before. CPU: i5 9600k, Motherboard: MSI z390-a Pro, RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (8x2) at 3600mhz. All these components are from my previous build. This memory is essentially the "value RAM" section of Corsair products. I won't assume it will operate at its rated speed—start at 2933mhz. Set voltage manually to 1.35v and keep timings on auto. Disable XMP. Locate Vccio and adjust to 1.10v. If that works, proceed to test. If successful, gradually raise the frequency until instability appears, then return to a stable setting and verify performance. Remember, overclocking doesn't always ensure better results, especially with memory XMP profiles.
You achieved 3000MHz successfully without issues. The maximum possible depends on your equipment and settings—check your device’s specifications for the upper limit. There may be other methods, like adjusting tuning or using different hardware, to push it further.
XMP enhances the CPU performance, reaching 3600Mhz. Ensure this frequency aligns with your processor for optimal results. The i5/i7/i9 models only accept DDR4-2666 memory. Corsair's memory selector advises against this configuration and suggests 3200, 3000, or even 3800 MHz options. You may need to skip this setup or adjust XMP settings manually if you wish to use the recommended RAM, or consider replacing it with a compatible model.

Frequency adjustments ranged from 2133 to 3000 MHz, which represents an increase of about 866 MHz (around 433 MHz effective). The processor is designed for a maximum clock speed of 2667 MHz, but it may not be compatible with your memory solution.
