Yes, the alternative combination functions effectively when using only that pair.

We could use CPU-Z to check each device, comparing features like Hynix or Samsung, brand, model, and other specs.

They don't appear in dual channels, which is why it doesn't function

The brand and model aren't specified. If not purchased together, it's a mixed batch. The specific batch might differ, and some manufacturers use various memory ICs in different batches.

I mean you need more specific details. Instead of vague descriptions, share the exact RAM model or the page where it came from. You can also use CPU-Z to check the hardware and see the memory information, including the die type. A screenshot of each stick can provide useful details about its specifications.

The memory I purchased is from Corsair, a 2x16GB, 3200MHz model. I thought getting two sets would suffice and didn't realize it came in a mixed configuration.

I primarily purchased this RAM in November and again in December. I didn’t realize that if they weren’t in the same set, they could end up mixed together.

If all four RAM sticks function, check each of the four MB slots individually. Ensure the BIOS hasn't been recently changed or if the RAM OC was disabled prior to testing four sticks.
