Windows isn't starting after the CPU and GPU changes. Hello! I've been having trouble all night—my computer worked fine before the upgrades, but now it won't boot into Windows. I've reinstalled Windows, updated the BIOS, and even swapped back the new CPU to the old one. It still keeps loading the gigabyte logo and freezes at that screen most of the time.
Before the upgrade, my specs were: CPU i5-8400, GPU MSI 1060, 24GB RAM, 256GB SSD, motherboard b360 ds3h. After the upgrade, it changed to i5-9600k and MSI 2060 (the image I shared is just an example).
Are you sure? It seems like most sources mention only the 8th generation, or mostly discuss problems with the 9th. Check this out—you’ll need an 8th generation chip to update the BIOS.
This article is quite outdated, so it's likely they introduced the necessary updates later.
