I mostly run short games and my PC will freeze then stop working. The power button stops functioning during these moments. This problem appears only with certain titles but not with Forza Horizon 5 or most others. It also happens with CSGO, Overwatch, RedDead2 online, and the listed hardware. Windows 10 home 64bit is running on an Asrock B450m Steel with AMD R5 3600 and 8GB RAM.
Honestly, I’m completely unfamiliar with Windows Event Viewer logs. However, considering the games you mentioned—FH5, Overwatch, and RDR2—they likely require more than 8GB of RAM. It seems the operating system might have run out of page files, causing it to freeze.
You’re missing quite a bit of memory for smooth gaming. Modern titles usually need around 16GB, and 32 or more would be ideal. Going above 64GB isn’t necessary unless you play very demanding games.
I understand. My setup has 16GB, but I've faced issues when it wasn't sufficient—often due to many tabs in Firefox—which would make the system slow and then restart. I plan to upgrade to 32GB soon.
