Yesterday I purchased a new graphics card and a power supply unit. I installed both, but the graphics card isn’t showing anything. The fans are spinning, but the Windows Device Manager doesn’t list it, and BIOS also doesn’t recognize it. I switched from Nvidia to AMD, replacing the GTX 970 with the 6700XT. I attempted DDU, removing and reinserting the card, checked if the slot on my motherboard was faulty (it wasn’t), and replaced the power cables. Nothing worked. I’ve read some online guides but haven’t succeeded. I’m thinking about reinstalling Windows, which might help, but I need advice if anyone has any suggestions.

Old CMOS transparency. Whenever upgrading key parts, a CMOS reset works well.

I'll give it another shot later, though I did reset the bios.

You exchanged your display cable from the motherboard port to the GPU port, right? Also, did you link the GPU to a PCIe 6 or higher power connection?

Maybe you still have the old PSU cables around.

I swapped the M with something specific. Are you implying you were using the previous cables?

Absolutely, I understand how computers function—it's my fourth setup. I've plugged in the GPU power cables; my PSU comes with four 6+2 pin connectors, and I've tested each one.

No, my power supply has four 6+2 pin cables, and I've already used them all. These are the cables included with the PSU.

The issue is that your old power supply only provides six connectors, but the new GPU requires eight pins for testing.

Insert the 970 and check compatibility. Also test using the lower slot.
