It aligns with your perspective, but it’s unclear why your RX-580 has functioned well for two years using a 6-pin connector on an 8-pin port. You’re looking for clarity to prevent similar issues later.

I understand you're referring to the connectors inside the device, specifically that the GPU was compatible with a 6-pin connector but not a newer version. Appreciate the clarification!

A Nox Urano VX 650W 80 PLUS Bronze would likely suffice for basic needs. If you're on a tight budget, this model offers solid performance without breaking the bank. Just keep in mind that higher wattage or future upgrades might require more investment later.

Cheaper or older cards were sometimes used this way because they didn’t need the complete 8-pin setup and lacked built-in safeguards that stopped them from functioning without the right connection. The newer version includes these protections, which is why it doesn’t work. It not only needs the full 8-pin but also has safety measures to ensure it only operates with the proper setup.

I don't know your country or the price range you're considering. Have you come across any of these brands before? Would you like recommendations for budget-friendly PSUs instead?

You’re in Portugal and you’re wondering if you can afford something around 50 euros.

You're very welcome! I'm glad everything is working with the new PSU you purchased. Let me know if you need anything else!
