I just completed my first PC build and noticed some odd behavior. When I restart, the GPU disappears from detection but works when I power it back up or wake from sleep. Updating drivers and BIOS didn’t help, disabling iGPU in BIOS actually slowed boot time and made the GPU unresponsive. It still spins its fans even when undetected. I haven’t tried reseating components because I’m nervous about damaging anything. Any suggestions? I might just stick with using shutdown instead of restart if I can’t find a simpler fix—it’s not a huge issue.

It seems the most recent updates for the AMD Adrenaline software are around version 25.3.1. Make sure you install the latest drivers to get optimal performance.

No, not all power cables are connected to the GPU. Check the specific PCIe slot for your graphics card to ensure compatibility.

Did you purchase the GPU? Also, make sure to re-seat the PSU cables.

Connected two 8-pin connectors, positioned in the top PCIe slot as specified in the manual. Everything is new except the SSD, which I refreshed with a fresh W11 installation (previously W10). I plan to re-seat the GPU and cables before proceeding.

I was really confused at first, but after opening the case and pushing the card down, I heard a click on the right side. Once I closed the case and restarted the computer, everything worked again. I didn’t have to remove or reinsert the card—just pushing it down helped. It’s interesting how it functioned normally before, except for the restart issue. Thanks for your assistance!
