Hey everyone, my PC isn't booting at all. The monitor is showing a dim light and it's stuck. I've swapped out the power supply, reinserted the CPU, tested RAM in each slot, tried with just the essentials, and even cleared the CMOS. My board is a 14600kf B660 Pro Art with DDR4, 64GB RAM (four 16GB sticks). I think I shorted the ARGB header because of a 4-pin connector. Now I'm considering buying a new motherboard and CPU for about $1000.

Refer to the instructions provided. Initially, consider verifying the CMOS on the lower third of page 14.

Yes, it remains the same problem when a DIMM is installed in slot DIMM_B2.

That's accurate. I've tested one DIMM per slot and even transferred RAM from another functional machine.

You can try pulling everything out of the case and testing it setting on something non-conductive like the motherboard box. You can also try unplugging the power on everything and letting it sit for several hours. (I'm guessing you've already accidentally done this since everyone needs sleep.) I'm not sure what else you can try tbh. It doesn't look like your motherboard has USB BIOS FlashBack™ (yea, Asus Trademarked it lol), so that's not something we can try

Sure, I'm on the AU now and have finished sleeping. I placed an order for a new motherboard and should be picking it up today... just in case it's not my CPU.

$600 later, spent countless hours diagnosing issues, disassembling the computer and reassembling it. The CPU was sent back to the retailer for testing, which confirmed the same DRAM error. It turned out the chip was damaged—there’s no chance it happened just by shorting the ARGB header. All components were replaced under warranty, but now I have a spare DDR4 LGA1700 board.
