System fails to power on successfully on a Z97 motherboard.
I'm working on assembling the new living room PC using an ITX build. The motherboard isn't launching Windows—it keeps reporting an error, saying it can only boot in UEFI mode. I've installed fresh Windows 10, tested with various SSDs and HDDs, but switching to UEFI still doesn't work. Any drives I try don't appear, even though I have many random laptop drives. I'm stuck because BitLocker or other issues prevent access. Right now, the only option seems to be trying a fresh Windows 7 or 8 installation, assuming the motherboard isn't supporting Windows 10 properly.
Open the BIOS settings and switch UEFI to CMS Legacy Support mode.
I noticed your previous message. The Storage Boot Option Control is currently set to Legacy. Switch it to UEFI for a better setup.
