I'm working on assembling the new living room PC using an ITX build. The motherboard isn't launching Windows—it keeps reporting an error, saying it can only boot in UEFI mode. I've installed fresh Windows 10, tested with various SSDs and HDDs, but switching to UEFI still doesn't work. Any drives I try don't appear, even though I have many random laptop drives. I'm stuck because BitLocker or other issues prevent access. Right now, the only option seems to be trying a fresh Windows 7 or 8 installation, assuming the motherboard isn't supporting Windows 10 properly.

I don't think I'm covered by CMS Legacy Support.

It's exactly where it needs to be. The option you picked should function, though you can also attempt UEFI-only. Edit: Don't worry, check my upcoming update. And sorry about the repeated message.

I noticed your previous message. The Storage Boot Option Control is currently set to Legacy. Switch it to UEFI for a better setup.

Sorry to hear that. I attempted it but the system didn’t detect the drive. I’m running Windows 10 Enterprise, so I was hoping to use the standard free installation instead.

The issue isn't related to the BIOS. The problem comes from the bootable USB stick. Just take it out so it boots correctly from the SSD.

I discovered a vintage laptop hard drive running Windows 10 that functions right away. This suggests my system might be using Windows 10. The ISO I saved from Microsoft also worked successfully. Appreciate the assistance!
