Hey! I just finished setting up my first PC after saving for a while. I went with a high-end build using an AMD system Gigabite B650 AORUS ELITE AX motherboard, AMD Ryzen 7950X3D CPU, MSI MPG A1000G power supply with PCIe 5.0 and a 1000W AIO power supply. I also installed SAPPHIRE NITRO+ and AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX Vapor-X 24G graphics card.

The issue is that after installing the GPU and connecting the PCIe cables to the power supply, the system won’t boot. The RAM lights up but there’s no fan noise or AIO operation, and nothing appears on the screen. I tried re-seating the GPU, double-checked all connections, and even removed it temporarily to see if it would work. It did.

Anyone have a clue what might be wrong?

I used a connected display with the motherboard and GPU installed, yet nothing works—usually fans spin continuously.

Hola! Intenta apagar la fuente de alimentación y verifica el puerto PCI-e. Puedes limpiar el slot con un paño y elimina la batería de CMOS durante 5 minutos mientras inspeccionas. Usa un cuchillo de algodón para frotar suavemente. Asegúrate de que la tarjeta gráfica esté completamente insertada y ten cuidado al levantar la máquina, ya que es pesada. Revisa los cables de la fuente de alimentación y conecta uno a cada rama según este método:

Did you connect another GPU to the setup? Display issues are common (poor link, defective chip...), but if the fans won’t spin, it could mean a short in the power supply or similar, which isn’t typical.

Thank you for your assistance! After examining the cables and testing the power supply, I discovered a damaged cable at one of the contacts, likely due to a short circuit. I obtained a replacement from a friend, and everything is now functioning correctly!
