My machine won't power on despite all efforts. A red error light on the motherboard suggests a CPU issue. I reached out to AMD for a return merchandise authorization and received a replacement processor, but the same problem persists. I've tested three different BIOS updates without success. A friend lent me his PC to test everything. The graphics card works, RAM functions properly, and the power supply was fine. The main hurdle remains the CPU/motherboard. I reinstalled the Ryzen 7 5800X and hope it resolves. It's been three weeks since I lost access to my computer for gaming, school, or work. I'm really stuck. Appreciate any guidance. Please share more details if needed.

Specs: CPU – Ryzen 7 5800X, GPU – ASUS ROG STRIX GTX 1080 (8GB), RAM – 4x8GB 3600MHz Corsair Vengeance RGB, MOBO – ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F Gaming PSU, Discs – 500GB M.2, 2x500GB SSD, 1TB HDD.

Have you completed the basic post-test? Did you link the cooling system for the CPU during testing? Which case are you using? You can request a replacement again, but if it fails, it suggests the installation might be the issue. Do you have rubber gloves inside the case? Consider using a grounding bracelet. Are you assembling this PC from scratch? Perhaps a professional should handle it?

I completed a basic post-test but the problem continues. I linked the cooler to the system. The case is an Antec GX-500. I sent in a return request and got a new "working" CPU, but when installed it doesn't function properly—it shows the same error as before. The original PC worked fine until one day after a regular shutdown when it failed to boot completely. It had been operating smoothly for about six months without any issues before that.

"No Problems" on the surface, does not equal, not running too hot, out of specs., O.C.. But that's too late to determine now. If the 2nd RMA is also not working, I would call it a dead MB.
