System fails to function post-PC restart or shutdown.
When I power off and restart my PC, it comes back on but nothing functions. Apps won’t open, I can’t shut it down from the start menu, and the Task Manager isn’t accessible via keyboard shortcuts. Normally, leaving it on for a while works, but sometimes it still doesn’t. I usually hibernate instead to avoid this issue. Anyone else experience similar problems? Do you know any solutions or workarounds? This has been ongoing for a few months now. System details: Windows 11 latest, 7800X3D, AMD RX590, 32GB DDR5, Gigabyte B650 Mobo.
It starts normally but may enter Windows without your input. There could be a hidden sleep feature activated that requires disabling.
Usually I don’t shut down the PC, just put it into hibernation to avoid this problem. However, during hibernation I turn off the power supply and the power strip, which makes me think the issue isn’t with the PSU.
Since I don’t have a backup power supply, I can’t proceed with the task.
