I'm setting up my first project and everything is connected to the motherboard outside for testing. It functioned properly except for two warnings in the BIOS: a "CPU fan error" and a "CPU temperature error." I use a liquid cooler (Corsair iCUE H150i ELITE CAPELLIX), but it doesn't appear in the "CPU fan" section, even though I connected it to the cooler. The radiator fans are working fine, but I suspect the pump isn't running. Since the pump wasn't detected, it might be an issue with its connection to the board, though I did connect it to the "CPU fan" slot. I'm using a fan hub powered through my power supply, which manages the radiator fans.

I managed to get the pump operational and it appeared in the BIOS settings, yet the CPU temperature stays high at 84°C even when it's idle.

I increased the amount of thermal paste, which helped raise the temperatures, but they remain elevated and continue to climb after a short period of inactivity.

It’s unclear what the radiator temperature should be, yet you’re not seeing any obvious warmth coming from it. Since the fans are active and the pumps are running, it might indicate an issue with the heating system.

First, disable the CPU fan failure so it doesn't trigger the warning. In the advanced settings and boot options, turn it off. This usually resolves the issue. CPU speed alerts often appear when it's running too fast. Connect the cooler to an AIO or PUMP unit, which will set the fan to its maximum speed by default. Once that's done... all cooling will be controlled by the fan on the radiator. To avoid fluctuations like a JoJo, use a chassis fan with adjustable curves or static speed settings. If the CPU still gets hot, increase the fan speed. Fans now manage the liquid inside the CPU cooler. Second, check if you removed the plastic covering the cooling head—it must be metal to the CPU and should have a small X mark. The rice corn amount seems insufficient. If you added extra thermal paste over the pre-applied "cooling" layer on the cooler, clean it thoroughly and use only one type: either the tube paste or the new paste from your tube.

I encountered the issue and it’s gradually improving from around 60 to over 80. Reapplying thermal paste after removing the old helped somewhat, but the problem persists. The motherboard doesn’t have an AIO or PUMP—only CPU_Fan, CPU_Otp, and a few CHA_Fans are present. I’m not certain how to boost performance since the pump and radiator fans share the same slot (my AIO uses a hub). There’s no visible heat coming from the radiator despite the fans running, and the fan on the CPU seems loose but doesn’t move much. It might be related to a component touching the CPU, though I can’t adjust it and don’t know what to fix.

It seems you're linking it via USB 2.0 onboard, or maybe a USB port. Make sure it's properly connected to your system. Also, the instructions suggest using a standard disk power cable and placing it in the CPU fan socket.

I linked it to CPU_Fan, and I set up the fan hub on the USB78 port on my motherboard (only USB78 and USB910 were visible). The hub is connected to the power source and it's functioning properly. I can't adjust it via Windows since I haven't installed an operating system yet.

USB78 and 910 are actually four distinct USB ports. The 7, 8, 9, and 10 pins are typically arranged in rows, so you’ll need backplate port adapters—each with two USB 2.0 ports—and connect them to a single USB 2.0 port. Running this setup will likely require installing an operating system for proper functionality. The CPU may slow down if it overheats, causing thermal throttling. Although your pump might be dead, you can check for installation issues by listening for any sounds from the pump, which should come from the CPU cooler area.
