I am currently trying to create a partition on my boot drive in Ubuntu and when I try to edit it it tells me "error unmounting file system". What does this mean? I am fairly new to Linux so bear with me here.

For standard FS setup using gparted, you can't change your OS partition, so you must do it on a live USB.
