Hello, I’m facing an issue with my brand-new Windows 7 Ultimate installation. Since the latest updates and service packs were applied, the system is extremely sluggish, often lagging significantly. Additionally, playing Counter-Strike causes the entire computer to freeze. Could there be a problem with the installation or software conflicts?

The system includes various hardware and software elements. Have you recently completed a virus scan?

Just installed the Intel Core 2 Duo Asus P5G41-m XFX HD7770 1TB drive, updated everything, and I don’t believe any virus is present.

It could be related to the issue. I suspect the HDD might only spin at 5400 RPM.
