Hey, eight months ago I set up a new PC just for Battlefield 1. At first I used a GTX 950 with an i5 4460 and 8GB RAM. It barely ran the game smoothly, especially on low settings and a few maps. Later I upgraded to a GTX 1060, which made a big difference. I sold my old GPU and it ran at 80fps on all high settings. I could play Battlefield 4 ultra at 60fps and Battlefield 1 in Borderless mode with low settings, keeping a steady frame rate. But recently (July 2017) it stopped working for both Battlefield 4 and Borderless mode, even on low. Everyone says my setup should work, but I’m still struggling. Any suggestions or tips would be appreciated?
Could the graphics card temperature be set too low? Check the CPU temperature as well. If needed, the last option is to restart everything: reinstall Windows and reset the CMOS.
Start with the suggested configurations from Nvidia GeForce. Reduce the values slightly using the slider. Btf1 uses a lot of CPU power at ultra settings. I experienced a significant slowdown on a 4690k with 50% average load while my 980ti was at 50%. It’s better to lower the settings. I like keeping the frame rate steady at 120hz even if graphics aren’t perfect, it works well. Consider overclocking the CPU as well.
