It began yesterday with a sudden blue screen. Restarted several times, but after 2-3 minutes another blue screen appeared with a different error. Today it keeps crashing when I log in to Windows, then loops into the startup repair process. Occasionally I see kernel errors, windows.load file issues, missing or corrupted drivers, or problems with windows.dwm. What’s happening? Please help! I managed to boot into Windows, enabled flight mode, paused updates, and am now trying to uninstall the latest update.

These errors might stem from an unstable OC. After overclocking and stress testing, you reported no crashes despite recent BIOS changes and removal of the latest update.

It might be the recent Windows update, but sometimes an outdated system can trigger BSODs too.

I put the update in on 3 August, yet now I’ve removed it.

I realized the cause, so here it is—this wasn’t about Windows at all. Anyone new to overclocking can encounter this problem: while watching CPU temperatures, I neglected the VRMs. It turned out my VSOC MOS (power delivery for iGPU) reached 120°C, leading to crashes.
