System experiences slow performance when switching tabs via alt-tab.
Hey there, I’ve tried everything I can think of but nothing seems to work. The problem started after a Windows 10 update last month—now it’s really slow. My PC freezes completely, and games only run at about 12 frames per second. Even with the latest drivers and a fresh install, the issue keeps coming back. The Xbox Game Bar is off, power settings are maxed out, and Focus Assist isn’t working. My hardware specs look fine, but I’m not sure what’s causing this. Any suggestions would be super helpful before you decide to wipe the drive again. Thanks!
Seems odd to me because I'm running it in short bursts every few minutes. It performed perfectly for two years before suddenly changing its behavior. The unusual thing is it's limited to 10-15 frames per second.
It works because the system clears out temporary data and releases storage space. Imagine a tiny gap at the bottom of a container holding water—it continues losing liquid, but the steady trickle maintains the level.
