Hi, the error appears when the system boots cold and says "Chassis Intruded Fatal Error System Halted." Pressing the reset button restarts the PC normally. Your motherboard model ASUS M5A78L-M LX doesn’t have a chassis connector. If the PC was off for more than 3-5 hours and you try to start it later, the issue resurfaces. Consider checking for any physical damage or loose connections, and ensure proper power cycles.

Review bios and consider a fresh CMOS battery. Also, explore Asus mobos which feature connectors for special tasks like booting to bios. They provide detailed manuals for older systems, offering helpful guidance.

I haven't seen any settings for chassis intrusion in my BIOS. I received the newest 1603 model. The VBat sensor reads 3.2v, and I rely on my voltage sensors. Could a multicontroller be causing this problem?

It's usually not in the BIOS, more about hardware switches or pins on the PCB. I had two external buttons and one internal on an old Asus MTB. I should look at the manual for the MTB to see if the latest BIOS might be the issue. Sometimes newer versions don't work well with older motherboards.

I tried the older two versions of BIOS (my CPU only supports the three most recent ones) and the same problem appeared. As I mentioned before, my motherboard lacks header/pins/connector for the chassis sensor. Sorry for the unclear English.

Some motorcycles share the same hardware and PCB designs. They might differ only in small details like pins or pads, which aren't specified in the manual.
