Software recording reduces frame rate unless you employ NVIDIA ShadowPlay or AMD Game DVR. The only alternative to avoid performance loss is using dedicated hardware for recording. Even Game DVR and ShadowPlay introduce a minor slowdown, which may seem negligible.

I'm not familiar with many of these, but I've seen them often. They come in various forms outside the computer. For better results, use shadow play or a game DVD player unless you're a pro needing top quality.
