System detects disk drive in Disk Management yet absent from BIOS settings.
Hello everyone, today I revisited my approach from a year ago of setting up Arch Linux (EndeavourOS minimal) on an SSD using an external enclosure. I aimed to run Arch for a personal project while using my daily laptop, the Lenovo Legion 5 15ARH7H, for university work. Since I’m familiar with similar setups, I opted for the old method involving VirtualBox or VMware. After installation, I restarted my laptop and entered BIOS, only seeing Windows Boot Manager and a few other network boot options. I attempted to reinstall drivers and update the BIOS, but nothing resolved the issue. What might be causing this?
No, secure boot remains disabled. I considered reinstalling it with an MBR to enable legacy boot, though I think Lenovo discontinued supporting Legacy Boot in their BIOS around 2020.
