According to your description, your PC is shutting down unexpectedly without any visible error messages or overheating signs. Your hardware setup includes a B650 Tomahawk WiFi motherboard, 32GB G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO RAM, an AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT graphics card with 16GB memory, and a 1000W power supply unit (model not recalled). You also have two monitors—one AOC 27G2WG3 and another AOC Q27G4N—connected via display port. I’ve looked into your hard drives for issues, but the problem remains unclear. If you could share more details about recent changes or symptoms, it might help identify the cause.

I noticed a recurring pattern in just one instance where I experienced the problem. In all other games, benchmarks, or situations, it didn’t occur. The issue seemed tied to a broken GPU and a malfunctioning PSU, often triggering a shutdown without any error messages.

Consider using a different GPU. Lowering the resolution might reduce the strain that triggers this issue, though the specific resolutions don’t seem to be the root cause. For new devices, reach out to support for assistance and check if a return or repair service is available. If they can't identify further problems, you may need to file a warranty claim.

I’ll try to secure another GPU and run a test. I thought the resolutions wouldn’t be crucial, but having both at 1080p with identical refresh rates would help confirm it. Thanks a lot for your assistance—I just wish things stay stable since budgets are so tight.

Which CPU do you have? If you have an IGPU, you can run tests with it. Performance might be affected, but it’s fine for testing. Also, I can check the temperatures for you.

Sorry, I didn't include the CPU details. Testing is tough since events occur unpredictably—sometimes it shuts down completely, and you'll have to restart until the following day or two. Temperatures remain stable, with the GPU hovering near 60°C and the CPU around 70°C.

Shutdown process varies by system. It may completely power down the PC, including fans and lights, remaining in that state until manually restarted. Alternatively, it could trigger a soft shutdown where the system powers off gradually, leaving fans and lights still active afterward. Some setups might display a black screen before behaving like a reboot, depending on configuration.

By shutdown means fully powering off, similar to how monitors cease operation, with all lights and fans stopping and remaining off until you restart it.

Consider using the provided list. Turn off XMP and attempt the test. Use just one RAM stick at a time while disabling XMP. It's unclear if your GPU will fit, so try the second PCI Express slot. You may need additional parts to proceed beyond what you likely already own. If you have someone with compatible components, ask for help. Alternatively, you can inquire about an average repair cost from a nearby shop.
