You're facing issues with your cloudpath security gateway on a new PC using a Realtek Wi-Fi adapter. The problem seems to occur only on one network despite connecting via a hotspot or other Wi-Fi sources. You've tried reinstalling the gateway app multiple times, but it's still not working. The BSOD appears even when trying to connect normally.

the displayed text on the BSOD screen is hard to interpret without knowing the specific error or code. based on your description, it seems like a driver-related issue, possibly involving a virtual controller from software that conflicts with Windows.

Didn't expect that response, but have you reached out to the university's IT team? After all, they're the ones providing these services.

You didn't require additional local security tools for network access. The issue might lie with the endpoint software itself.
