Please help my pc crashes during games and cpu stress test. screen freezes for 2 seconds and restarts. ill information of my system and problems is here. What is your full PC configuration (CPU, MBO, RAM, Cooler, PSU, GPU, Case, SSD...)? CPU Intel Core i9-11900K MBO ASUS ROG STRIX B560-I GAMING WIFI RAM : Crucial Ballistix 2x8GB (16GB) 3600MHz CL16 Cooler Noctua NH-U9S PSU Corsair SF600 600W (SFX 80 Plus Gold) ASUS TUF RTX 3060 Ti V2 OC LHR before ASUS Strix GTX 970 4GB (still happent) Case CoolerMaster NR200P (white) SSD Crucial P5 500GB What windows version are you using and are they updated? Microsoft Windows 10 Professional (x64) Build 19045.3803 (22H2) How are your CPU, MBO and GPU temperatures in idle and under load? Idle CPU 42c load 76c Idle MBO 32c load 33c Idle GPU 34c load 55c Using the latest Motherboard Bios? yes Latest chipset drivers downloaded from AMD / Intel? yes (downloaded via armoury crate) Disk drive health OK? 99% healthy Latest GPU drivers? yes, via nvidia experience driver 546,33 Does the same happen with a benchmark tool like 3DMark? yes. but only with cpu Have you done any tweaks like disabling MultiPlane Overlay MPO? No Does the Windows Reliability Monitor tool show issues? No Do you know the steps to reproduce the issue or what you changed before the issue appeared? No Have you tried replacing any hardware? GPU but same thing happens. reinstalled windows same thing Tried some of the hardware in another system? no Any other troubleshooting steps you've tried? no. my first tought was the gpu. very old compaired to the new system. changed the gpu which i know works on other systems. been standing still for month and now this, my second thought was the cpu overheating and the cool paste must be bad, but the temp doesnt overset 56c in rdr2 before crashing. my current thought now is the PSU being to low compared to the system it needs to carry. i can use it normally like now for daily work. but stress testing with furmark makes it go down quick.

Perform a memtest86 or at least a testmem5 check on RAM while games run and under CPU stress. Updated Dec 30, 2023 by leclod

It looks like a PSU issue if it powers down when you apply a load. Cinebench also seems to fail under similar conditions, likely draining the GPU. Furmark is a dedicated GPU stress test.

I ran the Memtest86 assessment. It seems I might run additional checks, though time restrictions affected that. In the first run, the computer halted without starting a restart. (photo included) As a result, I had to take manual action. When I tried the test again, nothing changed.

I ran the Cinebench evaluation and observed strong GPU performance, but the CPU Multi-Core test faced challenges. Test 1 stopped in the final minute, Test 2 didn’t complete even after 9 minutes, and Test 3 only reached halfway. Each test was planned for a 10-minute duration. The CPU Single-Core version performed without issues during the full 10 minutes.

You ran Memtest86 just once. There were several times the initial pass succeeded. Ensure all connections are secured properly, including the PSU side. Have you attempted to reinstall Windows?

Your PSU should suffice. No need for a game or bench to strain the CPU and GPU simultaneously. Even then, your PSU remains adequate. Oh, you might skip the GPU altogether! Edited December 31, 2023 by leclod

I ran the long test with memtest86 and got frozen on both attempts. (I've been reading about it) It seems some systems might not support memtest86. Today my game didn't crash like it did with cinebench. Any suggestions?

Upgrading RAM is often a suitable option for hardware changes. Disassembling the PC and conducting a full system check can be helpful to verify functionality after modifications.
