Hello, I recently installed a new computer and have been encountering KERNAL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE BSOD along with several other error messages (status access violation in Chrome, IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL). I searched extensively for solutions but all suggestions pointed toward updating drivers. The issue persists even though the drivers are brand new and the OS is fresh (both Windows 10 and 11 trials). I ran chkdsk and sfc /scannow, both completed without errors. The Windows Memory Diagnostic and Memtest86+ also showed no issues. I followed the recommended BSOD guide and shared the details below using Method A as outlined.

Q: Operating System – Windows 8.1, 8, 7, Vista?
A: Tried with both Windows 10 and Windows 11.

Q: Architecture – x86 (32-bit) or x64?
A: x64 system.

Q: What OS was originally installed?
A: Since it was a brand-new setup, I chose Windows 11, but after multiple blue screens I reverted to Windows 10 and still faced the same BSOD errors.

Q: Is this an OEM version (installed pre-installed) or a full retail version (bought from a store)?
A: Windows 11 was bought from a retailer (Microcenter); Windows 10 was purchased directly from Microsoft.

Q: Age of the hardware?
A: Not cutting-edge, but up-to-date. Check the hardware specs below. The system was built about two weeks ago.

Q: OS installation age – have you reinstalled it?
A: Yes, as mentioned earlier. Windows 11 was tried three times; Windows 10 once.

Q: CPU model?
A: AMD Ryzen 7 7700x

Q: Graphics card model?
A: MSI GeForce GTX 3080 Gaming Trio

Q: Motherboard – (if not a laptop)
A: Asus ROG STRIX B650-A GAMING WIFI, BIOS version 0809

Q: Power supply – brand & wattage (skip if it's a laptop)
A: Corsair RM750x

Q: System manufacturer?
A: ASUS

Q: Exact model number (if OEM or laptop)
A: Not available.

Q: Is this a laptop or desktop?
A: Desktop.

Additional system details you might find useful:
- Corsair Vengeance RGB 32GB-6000 CL36
- Corsair 5000x RGB
- Corsair H150i AIO 6x
- Corsair LL120 fans
- Corsair LL120 PCIe 4.0 M.2 NVMe
(Note: Perfmon/report unavailable due to time; Sysnative app results are available.)

Thank you for your patience. I’ll keep working on resolving the performance issues while you review the information. You can find more help at the link provided.

A2 and B2 dual channel motherboard. Performed a fast re-seat of all components except the CPU, making sure to clear any dust from the DIMM slots. As someone who works with laptops, I know how frustrating memory problems can be due to FOB or alignment issues. I also observed some offset in both DIMMs, which seems unusual but appears normal after a quick online check.

The RAM kit appears to support only XMP profiles and lists only Intel compatibility. Have you turned on the XMP setting? If yes, have you tested disabling it to check if BSOD stops? I don’t have much experience with AM5 yet—I’ve been using AM4 for a while now.

It's an AMD motherboard, which means it doesn't support XMP. It does have DOCP enabled but disabled. Can I adjust the memory clock speed to eliminate this as a cause? Since there are no white DIMMs with AMD Expo yet, I'm limited in what options I have. If that's the issue, I can definitely look for other RAM options.

Docp will activate the xmp profile for RAM, but if not activated it should revert to the default AM5 standard. You might attempt adjusting the speed or tweaking timings manually to observe improvements. (Alternatively, applying a slight voltage increase could help.) Would you like to boot before reaching the desktop or use Windows temporarily? It’s worth checking the actual speed and CAS latency with a tool like CPUZ. The 7700x supports iGpu? Removing the 3080 and connecting via the motherboard display might yield results, though it could indicate a problematic BIOS. Are there any updates available for your board?

I can use it, but in Chrome I frequently encounter STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION issues with webpages. The blue screen appears rarely. I missed an error message labeled ATTEMPTED_WRITE_TO_READONLY_MEMORY, so I’ll attempt to lower the speed to 3200 m/s and observe the results over the next day or two. To exclude GPU problems, I plan to install it on my previous system and test it for a few days. I expect no issues there. Keep in mind I haven’t experienced a BSOD in several hours now. I’ll try gaming to see how it performs.

The board is up to date with the newest BIOS version. A colleague who uses a 5600X mentioned AMD faced early issues, but it seems unrelated to this situation.
