I previously had two 2X8 GB DDR4 sticks from Patriot Viper 4 Blackout, 3200MHz, 16GB (two 8GB), non-ECC, CL16, XMP. I planned to add another pair, but my PC freezes during media playback, gaming, or Discord while other apps run fine. What might be causing this issue? I'm feeling frustrated and unsure what to do. 2023-02-21 19-07-49.mp4

It might be a corrupt registry or operating system—run sfc /scannow in the command prompt and use chkdsk. If those steps fail, the only solution could be a clean Windows installation, but make sure to back up all your data first. If you're using an SSD as the OS and an HDD for storage, you likely won't need backups.

I don’t need anything crucial, so I can proceed with a fresh setup. My primary drive is an M.2 NVMe, and the secondary is a SATA SSD.
