Follow the instructions provided. https://www.wagnardsoft.com/content/ddu-guide-tutorial You will download the newest stable drivers for your card, use the DDU Tool, run the executable to extract them, disconnect from the internet, start in Safe Mode, execute the DDU Tool, eliminate any graphics card-related files within it, restart into normal Windows without an internet connection, install the drivers, then restart and reconnect to the internet.

Thanks! I'm hoping that resolves the issue. If not, it seems your graphics card might not be strong enough for AAA titles such as Squadrons.

It's unrelated to performance. If your issue remains unresolved, even using an older driver (especially if it's a newly released bug), your GPU could be faulty. Windows corruption might also prevent proper diagnosis—consider reinstalling the OS to verify.

Sure, I'll give it another shot if anything else fails (as a final option).

You're about to perform a driver update on your Lenovo laptop. There are several options available on the Lenovo website, including BIOS updates, GPU drivers, and other support files. Consider downloading the official Lenovo drivers first, as they are typically reliable. If you need additional support for NVIDIA GPUs, you can explore drivers from Microsoft or NVIDIA directly. Avoid using unverified third-party drivers like VGA unless necessary, since they may not be optimized for your hardware. Always verify compatibility before installing any new driver.

I would select the NVIDIA driver from their official site. The Intel version would come from Lenovo, since OEMs can add extra drivers and services. You probably don’t need the other ones. If a BIOS update is available, consider upgrading your system before performing the DDU.

You might want to consider updating the BIOS even after performing the DDU and reinstalling drivers. It’s not inherently dangerous, but ensuring your system runs on the latest firmware can improve stability and security.

Reverting the BIOS can be dangerous, as a malfunction might render your device unusable. Updates usually fix different hardware problems. I haven’t experienced a failure myself, but it’s possible. If you keep facing issues, you might want to back it up as a backup option.

Certain motherboards offer a method to restore a crashed BIOS update. Unfortunately, this capability is usually limited to high-end models from specific manufacturers.
