Hello everyone, I’m facing a blank screen when starting my laptop today. The Asus logo isn’t visible, and the screen is unresponsive—can’t access BIOS. The keyboard lights are working, but pressing Windows+Ctrl+Shift+B didn’t trigger any sound. After turning it off and on again several times, it started functioning again. Then I saw a blue screen of death. I noticed this happened before too. I’m worried it could be a hardware issue rather than just software. I’m afraid to take it to a lab and they might say everything’s fine. Do anyone have any advice on how to try fixing this? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

It seems there may be a RAM or storage issue. Execute sfc /scannow to detect and repair damaged system files. Next, use chkdsk /scan to check for broken sectors on your drive. Review CrystalDiskInfo for drive health details. Finally, run the Windows Memory Diagnostic which will need a reboot. If everything checks out but problems persist, we can proceed with further troubleshooting steps

Hello, thank you for your message. I followed all the advice you gave, executed sfc, performed a chkdsk scan on every drive, ran the memory diagnostic tool, and everything looks good. sfc reported it fixed some issues, and I updated both my GPU and chipset drivers—though you mentioned it might be a hardware problem. Currently, everything seems fine, but I haven’t shut down the laptop much. If it ever recurs, what steps would you suggest I try next? Thank you again for your help.

Has it occurred once more? If yes, what indicated in the event viewer?
