System Configuration... lacking a graphics processor?
I'm experiencing frequent, unpredictable crashes while attempting to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, including the free Warzone component. The game runs perfectly without interruption, yet crashes completely at random times. My system specifications are detailed in my profile. However, Performance Monitor indicates that my CPU is consistently at 100% utilization, while my GeForce RTX 1070 Ti graphics card remains largely inactive (around 4-5%). This discrepancy is puzzling, as both GeForce and the game recognize the 1070 Ti. Can anyone advise me on how to resolve this?
My display adapter is linked directly to my graphics card, not through the computer's main output port?
Indeed, the monitor’s HDMI output is connected directly to the GeForce 1070 Ti. Furthermore, I removed Intel’s integrated graphics from Device Manager, rebooted, and then reloaded… yet the CPU remains at 100% usage while the GPU only registers a 4-5% load—despite utilizing all current Game Ready drivers and Windows 10 updates.
Is there a scan for malware on the system?
What is the temperature of the CPU? Is it only being used by the game to consume processing power?
The malware scan returned a 100% clean result; please verify this as well.
This isn't a pirated version; it’s a complimentary game for WARZONE… requiring substantial Battlenet downloads.
Indeed, uninstalling and reinstalling were attempted without success.
It appears to be a recurring issue with no available resolution from the Activision support pages: https://support.activision.com/…KH4X_rFC...Ldya8dFuk0
