Evening fine individuals I recently transferred my PC from another room to a new space and attempted to power it up. The GPU, storage drives, and fan controller started working, but the motherboard failed to turn on—evident by the non-functional LED and inactive CPU fan. When I reconnected it to its original location, the issue persisted. The power supply is receiving voltage and the fan controller works, yet the motherboard remains unresponsive. Upon moving the setup, I heard an unusual crackling sound from the PSU. This was unexpected and I’m concerned it might be related to the PSU despite the GPU and case fans functioning. I reset both RAM modules and tried removing components, beginning with the GPU, hoping it would fix the problem but it didn’t. Thank you all for your help; please find my system specs below. Appreciate your support!

someone else faced a comparable issue here, I believe. they swapped the cr2032 cmos battery to restore functionality. you might want to try that first. if you own a voltmeter, you can check the voltage—ideally it should read 3.3 volts. anything below 3 volts needs replacement.
