You're encountering an activation issue with your openSUSE installation on the IBM ThinkPad i1200. The freeze happens when trying to activate USB devices, likely due to compatibility or driver problems. Given your specs (Celeron 700MHz, 192MB RAM, 60GB HDD), ensure your openSUSE version supports older hardware and check for any required drivers or updates. Consider running the installation in safe mode to isolate the issue, or verify USB device permissions.

10.2 is a 12-year-old system, and its support was discontinued 10 years ago. Having 192mb of RAM is quite limited even by 2006 norms. Consider switching to Puppy Linux or another lightweight OS.
