System automatically secures itself unexpectedly.
Hey everyone. I’m facing an issue where my PC locks itself while using it, and I’m trying to fix it. I reinstalled Windows but didn’t see any improvement. I checked RAM, removed all USB ports except the mouse and keyboard, and even unplugged everything. I looked up troubleshooting steps on Microsoft sites but still can’t resolve it. My system specs are: Gigabyte Vision RTX 3060 MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon MAX WIFI AMD Ryzen 5 3600 / 6 cores / 12 threads / 3.6GHz (4.2 GHz Turbo), Cooler Master MWE / 650W / Modular / Corsair Vengeance 32GB (4x8GB) / 3200MHz / DDR4. What could be causing this problem?
Which Windows release are you running? Did you review the power configuration options?
You’ve won the 10 Pro edition (version 21H1, OS 19044.1645). To verify the power settings, look for options related to battery management or performance controls. Check if there’s a lock feature available for adjusting these settings securely.
The display remains active for an extended period before shutting down. Please verify your screen saver configuration and ensure the option to display the logon screen is enabled. With a pro version, group policy adjustments concerning lock screens are also possible, though I recommend checking those last. Regarding locking behavior, it appears you experience random lockouts during active usage rather than consistent time-based restrictions.
