My computer fails to boot unless I lower its clock speed and increase voltage to 3.6 GHz. Once underclocked, it tends to crash after short periods of demanding tasks. Temperatures stay near 44°C just before failures (underclocked + high voltage). I've applied various software fixes, reinstalled Windows and drivers, but I'm uncertain about the next steps. My hardware includes an Intel i9-9900K processor, Aorus Z390 Pro board, Corsair H150i Pro cooler, Corsair Vengeance 16 GB RAM at 3600 MHz, an RTX 2070 GPU, and a Corsair Rm850 PSU. This is my first build and it's been stable since early December.
I possess two 8gb sticks in slots 1 and 3. The BIOS indicates dual channel operation. If the cables were correct, it likely wouldn't boot or would fail to function since December.
The Aorus units store data in slots 2 and 4. Have you looked for any bent pins on the CPU or within the socket? It could be helpful to inspect them too, along with re-seating the CPU and ensuring proper mounting pressure.
