Switching to the Ram XMP profile caused a crash.
Switching to the Ram XMP profile caused a crash.
I built my PC about a year ago and didn't even think about the fact that my RAM (Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32 GB) wasn't running at the speed it should, When I updated my bios a few weeks ago to switch the XMP profile it makes my pc crash after a few minutes of gaming. I've tried a few times and the only solution I can find is to go back to the default XMP profile of 2133mhz instead of 3600mhz. I want to get the most out of my ram but I'm unsure how to fix this. A friend of mine said it could be a motherboard or CPU compatibility issue with the RAM but thats the most info I know. Anyone able to help? This is my build: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/MissMagz/s...iew=2DMx99
I didn't locate RAM on the QVL of the MB. You might try enabling XMP and setting the frequency to 3200Mhz to test. When I erased part of the ID number, it detected a Corsair RAM stick that supports 3200Mhz. With some adjustments, you could potentially reach up to 3600Mhz. I'm not very experienced with tuning RAM, but someone else could assist if you're interested.
